Kingwood Lacrosse program offers something for every boy and girl interested in playing lacrosse. Kingwood’s boys programs run from K-8 grade and the girls programs run 1st-8th grade (3-8 in the fall). Kingwood Lacrosse is under the direction of Chris Arnold, Kingwood High School’s Varsity Coach.
Fall skills clinic for 7/8 Grade Boys
This clinic will be 6 weekend sessions (each session 2hrs) of skills and drills under the instruction of Coach Arnold. The one time fee registration fee is $100. The clinic dates are:

*Winter Blast Lax Clinic*
Don't miss out! Winter Blast is for BOYS & GIRLS (K-8 Grade). This clinic is designed for experienced and new players to improve their skill level, shooting technique and knowledge of the game. This is a perfect clinic to brush off the dust and gear up for Spring Lacrosse Season.

Girls Fall Program
*The Girls program has teams for 3rd-8th grade for the fall (1st-8th in spring). First fall practice is Sept.6th a Rivergrove, 9am. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. See girls home tabs above for more info or see program write up below.
*Cost for 3rd/4th grade is $90, 5th-8th grade is $120*
* Little Sticks, grades K-2. Spring program where your player will learn stick skills and fundamentals of play in a fun environment.
* 3-4 Grade, Spring program to develop stick skills along with organized games.
* 5-6 Grade, Fall Tournament team and Spring GHYLA "Young Guns" teams.
* 7-8 Grade, Fall Tournament teams and Spring GHYLA teams.
The 5-6grade Young Guns, 7th grade and 8th grade Travel teams compete in the Greater Houston Youth Lacrosse Association (GHYLA). The spring season runs from mid-January to late April. If your player wants to continue to develop their game, we also have fall tournament teams for our5/6 and 7/8 grade divisions.
The girls A-team have won the City championships two years in a row and the B-team has advanced to the semi finals each of the last two years. In the spring, the first season for 3rd/4th grade league, they also advanced to the city semi-finals. Something special is happening in girls lacrosse in Kingwood...come be a part of it!
Little Sticks: 1st-2nd grade. The girls will focus on stick skills and fundamentals of the game. There is no fall league for little sticks. Practices start in early February 2015 and the season lasts until mid-April. There will be periodic intersquad scrimmages and 1-2 play days vs other area teams.
3rd-4th graders: Continued development of stick skills. For the fall, practice starts in early September and the season lasts until Nov 15th. Fall league play consists of practices and 4-5 scrimmages vs other Houston teams. Spring League play consists off 8-10 games vs Houston area teams, 1 end of season tournament, 1 optional out of town tournament.
5th-8th grade: Two teams are fielded (A&B), allowing the girls to play with and compete against similarly skilled teams around the Houston area. For the fall, practice starts in early September and the season lasts until the first week of December. For the fall, each team plays in 5 scrimmages and the burning flower tournament in December. For the 2014 Spring Season, practice starts the second week of January and the Season lasts until the end of April. Each team will play in approximately 12-14 games and participate in 3-4 tournaments.
Lacrosse Academy, directed by Coach Arnold, is an additional program available to all of our players from 4th-8th grade . Weekly training sessions are designed to help aspiring players reach their potential. It is coached by professional lacrosse coaches and is available from August to October and January to April. Free trials are available if your player wants to see if they like it.
